bronze duke

Hi all fans,
I have been trying to research a statute I’ve had for quite a long time. It is a 30” tall bronze of John Wayne, unbelievably detailed; John Wayne is fully standing and holding a rifle. I believe it to be a piece by Jesse Corsaut, who has done the Steinbeck bust for the Steinbeck Center in Salinas. However in the signature on the bottom the r seems to be an a. There in lies the reason for my unsuccessful years long quest to find out about it. It is numbered and also has a wooden shipping crate with wheels. Any information anyone could supply would be helpful. When was it made and was it commissioned or just something the artist wanted to make. As much as we would like to keep it. We may be offering it for sale, as my son will be off to college in a year and in need of money.I have pics to email if that would help.
Thank you
Mox
