I checked what was available here and was surpriised that there was no gallery of John Wayne pictures to choose from. I really do not want a cartoon character unless it is one of The Duke himself ;-) :cowboy:

for a list of pickies that you can choose from go to off topics and you will find that it is pinned avarts and follow mrs c advice and all going well you will be able to snag yourself a good one. the site that they are on belongs to another member of this board and he lets us use them

:cowboy: Hello Smokey, thank you for the info on avatars and the nice greetings. I will see if I cna see what you are talking about and see if I cna choose one. However, I am able to only use public computers and I cna not click and save and that kind of thing. I will probably have to ask a Moderator to get me an avatar.

I will also do my best at being here. I like this site too much to not be here. Yesterday I found info here on the John Wayne postage stamps and special envelopes. I plan on ordering some soon. If it were not for this site, I would have never known that the Duke was on a postage stamp.

A the top of your page you will see my controls. Point and click you will see your personal page. Go down a ways and your will see Personal Profiles under it you will see Edit Avatars Seetings. Point and Click. You will see a section where you can type in your avatar settings. Do that and point and click where it says save or something like that. You should be able to get it up after that.

If he cannot do it, I will be glad to seek additional help from you. I use public library computers as I don't have a computer of my own yet and their computers basically only let you search the internet and do emails. I am hoping by sometime early in 2005, that I will have a computer of my own. Trouble is, is that I have been saying that for over 5 years now :uhuh:

You can also snag an unusual pic of the Duke from ebay. There are hundreds to choose from on any given day. Anyway thats what I did. Good Luck! :cowboy:

Many thanks JWneabe. I just don't have a way to copy pics as I use public library computers. I wish I could or I would be glad to snag a few ;-)
