What happened to young Billy in Big Jake he rides in at the start, we see him shooting within the McCandles ranch we do not see him get shot and thats the last we see of him. I have heard tell of there being a directors cut of Big Jake which may show his fate but Im not sure can anyone help.

Not trying to be offensive, but I think you're getting so bogged down in relatively minute details that you're missing the forest for the trees, if you know what I mean. I have watched several of these movies dozens of times, and quite frankly not noticed the "mistakes" that you're concerned about (and have mentioned in another thread as well). Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! :D

I do agree that deleted scenes would make a good addition to a DVD. I enjoy watching that kind of stuff, and makes it worthwhile getting a DVD, even if I already own a movie on VHS.

now now robbie there is no need to get catty we all have our own thoughs on jw's movies and i have to agree with chester why get bogged down with worring about the mistakes and the scenes that were cut and for god sake enjoy the movies they were not all made in the modern era so accept them for how they were made. if my son can enjoy them then surely you can

I think it's a fair question to ask and a topic that could be interesting.

I'm sure the Duke had many discussions both on set and off with costars and directors/producers about problems and/or mistakes on various movies. It's human nature. ;)
