I have a neat idea we should have an area where we can post channel date and times of upcoming John Wayne movies in our area :jump:! I cant tell you how many times I have kicked myself for missing one of his movies because I didn't notice it was on due to the fact that I have 900+ channels on my dish and dont have the time to scan through all the channels :headbonk: For example:
El Doado 1967, 2:15 PM 10-23-04AMC American Movie Classics :cowboy:
The Green Berets 1968, 5:00 PM AMC 10-23-04 American Movie Classics :artist:
Flame of Barbary Coast 1945, 7:30 10-24-04 AM AMC American Movie Classics :fear2:

Just an idea :headbonk: !

JOHNWAYNEABE,

Looks like you've got the ball rolling. The topic is started, now folks just have to get the info here. Anyone who knows that the Duke's movies will be on TV at a particular time, feel free to post here for all to see.

Thanks!

I use the site http://www.tv-now.com/stars/jwayne.html which provides a listing of his movies on the major cable channels. I am quite sure it doesn't catch every movie of his, but I don't miss nearly as many as I used to miss.

Well since erscolo posted this link I went to check it out and found this playing at the end of January.

erscolo,

Welcome to the John Wayne Message Board, the best of its kind on the 'Net!

Thanks for posting that link! One thing that I really like about the site is that it lists the movies alphabetically, so you can look for the specific movie you want to see.

Since we don't have cable, we don't really check out that site very much (plus we own most of the movies . . . ;) ). Although, in checking it out again this evening, I saw a real interesting documentary, on November 29th, that is making me rethink that not having cable thing . . .

Hi Jim

Don't touch it with a pole.

It is dreadful apart from the last few minutes aboard the Wild Goose and even that is spoiled by the antics of the presenters. If you go through the threads this subject has been raised before. I haven't heard a good word about it yet.
