How many movies did John Wayne make the number seems to range from different sources from about 140 to almost 300 so does anyone know.

According to "The Complete Films Of John Wayne", he made 152 movies including the "B" movies. He's been in many appearences like TV shows guest spots, Variety shows, Talk News Shows, Commericals, and I think some movies without credit.

TV Appearances according to "The Official John Wayne Reference Book" was 170 times, and films he made was 170 as well (the films include documentaries).

Hondo

I don't know for sure myself, but one source I enjoy using is Internet Movie Database (www.IMdB.co). They indicate that John Wayne appeared in 174 movies, including parts for which he did not receive credit.

They indicate that he made 27 "Notable TV Appearances." Now I don't know what qualifies as "notable" but that's what they list.
