Hi William
I am just researching Fred Graham who stunted for among others John Wayne and appeared in many of the pictures that you were in ie She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and Angel and the Badman.
I have a special regard for the stuntmen, and especially as he worked in Arizona after his film career I wondered if you have come across him and have any anecdotes you could share.
Regards
Arthur

Arthur; You could hardly work in films in Arizona in the late 1960s and early 1970s and not run into Fred Graham because he worked for the "Arizona Department of Economic Planning and Development of Motion Pictures" in Arizona! At one time the "Carefree at Southwest Studios" a Western movie Town just North of Phoenix Arizona, was called "The Graham Studios"!!!
His Nickname was "Slugger" as he had worked in American Baseball. I think that he got his start in films in the late 1920s. In 1938 he doubled for 'Basil Rathbone" that played "Sir Guy" in the Great film "Adventures of Robin Hood" and at the end of the Film when Robin kills "Sir Guy" Fred Graham his Stuntman does the Spectacular Fall, about 10 feet to the stone floor below. In the fall he Broke his ankle.
I think he past-away in 1978! I am working on a few pages for the "John Wayne Museum Web-Site" on the Stuntmen that worked on Duke's Films and it should be up in a week or two. He was a Great Stuntman. Chilibill :cowboy:
