Does anyone know when John Wayne bought the "Los Flamingos (http://www.acabtu.com.mx/flamingos/)" Hotel in Acapulco? and when was it sold?

Is it true that "Los Flamingos (http://www.acabtu.com.mx/flamingos/)" had the first swimming pool in Acapulco? which year was it built?

Does anyone know if John Wayne owned any other property in Acapulco? if so when did he buy it, and where was it located?

I'm sorry, but I look in everything I have and don't have and there was no mention of him and the Los Flamingos connection. I'm not sure that he ever owned anything in Acapulco.

Where did you get that information about that? Just curious.

I am a fan of John Wayne (though not as dedicated as some ;)

But my main interest lies in Cocktails.

There is a popular Margarita cocktail story, that is corroborated by many sources. It says that a friend of "The Duke"s, called "Margarita Sames, invented the Margarita at a Christmas Party (2 weeks long! :rolleyes:

The acapulco/ john wayne connection is pretty firm, but I need to know when he bought the property. (yes, I sent an e-mail to the owner of "los Flamingos", but no response)

It is possible that "The Duke" was there at the birth of the Margarita, (Americas Favorite Cocktail)

I really want to know!!!!
