Free John Wayne Avatars (http://vonrassilon.tripod.com/johnwayne/avatars.html) I'v had a few people tell me they like my avatar, so what I did is make a few for any one of you to use. Just click the link and it will take you to the webpage. Just right click the image to save, then put it in your profile. If you need to, I put the HTML code so you can us it from the website. I'll add some more as I find them. If you have any questions, just ask, my email is in my profile or I will be by the chat room on Fri nites around 9:00 Central. If you are wanting something in paticular, let me know. I can't promise anything, but I will give it my best shot. Enjoy all!

Thanks, Baron. I always wondered how some folks had pics next to their name. You made me learn how to do it, I think. Let's see if it worked. dukefan1

Very good idea which I may take up later just regarding some of your pictures there seems to be the wong name added to some of them.

They are Big Jake should be Cahill
Rio Lobo should be The Sons of Katie Elder
One picture from operation pacific is actually from they were Expendable
Red River should be The Searchers

Sorry if I sound like a nitpicker Im just a perfectionist

Ok, I screwed up the avatars. The problem was that Tripod won't let you link to thier website. So I changed it to anglefire, as they are better at links.

Anyway, here is the new link, John Wayne Avatars (http://www.angelfire.com/zine/timetraveler/avatars/avatars.html). Just copy and paste in the avatar you want or copy the HTML link and paste it. If you have any questions, let me know, I will be glad to help you. Enjoy!

Since "bumping to the top" has become the thing to do, I wanted to bring this topic back to the top for two reasons.

Number one, I want to thank the Baron for taking the time and putting out the effort to make some avatars available to folks. I know I've certainly enjoyed mine.

Number two, I want to encourage all of you folks out there to check out the avatars, and choose one. It kind of spices up the board (not that it's boring or anything like that - :P - 'cause it's not, but they really add to it). Be sure to check out the Baron's last post on how to do it.

Thanks again, Baron!

Special thanks to robbie for his eye on images and the movies their from, and special thanks for Chester and his help. Enjoy all! B)

Glad you like them! Robbie pointed out something I forgot. Sometime your avatar might look like JW was squashed by Godzilla. You just have to adjust the width and height. This can be done in your avatar profile. My is at Width 54 X Heigth 64. Then it will look right. Sorry for any inconvience.

I will continue to find more for all of you when I can.

Robbie, try putting in the 54 x 64 for the width and height. This should help clear it up, or you might have to adjust the numbers a little. The cause is it's being shown as 64 x 64 square, and the avatar is a rectangle. Thanks!

Sorry if I bother everyone about this, but I'm bumping up this topic because I've added about 15 new avatars. Hope everyone enjoys them! :cowboy:

This is just a test to see if this works. I didn't actually use one of yours, but your moving this thread up helped me figure out how everyone got cool pictures next to their name. Thanks!

Well, looks like your test worked, Jen. A great choice for an avitar. I didn't know how to do it either till Baron brought it to our attention. We learn so much from these good people on the board. dukefan1

Glad you guys like the "avatar." Heh - right, Chester - I don't know about making the picture any bigger, but if only our eyesight was good enough to read Maureen's lips and figure out what she told him! ;)

Hey Guys,

Just to let you know, you can now "upload" avatars to your profile. What this means is that your avatar is uploaded to the dukewayne.com server instead of linked off site. This may help you, and save you the hassle of aquiring a free hosting service like Angelfire, or Geocities to host your image.

Baron, nice job on the avatars (If I haven't told you before)
