Is it true that John Wayne is in one of the Gremlins movies. What does he do, is an extract from on of his movies used and if anyone can get any pictures of it please put them on this messageboard.
I also realise that John Wayne was dead when the first gremlins movie was made I am just curious if he is in the movie or not.

yep, that was a funny cameo - I thought. They inclued him in the Gremlin sequel, it's the scene from the Cowboys where he tells his hands to never set foot on his ground again. Cut into the Gremlin scene, he was telling that to those nasty little monsters. That's the roadshow as it was in the movietheaters. When the film came out on video, they had Hulk Hogan in the same place, ripping his shirt open and telling the Gremlins to get out. Why they switched? I have no idea.

itdo,

How do you know these things?

You are a veritable wealth of information!

Do this mean what I think . . . it do?

It do!
Hey... I've just seen the Gremlin film, that's all (mainly because a friend of mine told me to come see it because he wanted to see the funny look on my face when the Duke scene came up!)

Yo Roland you do seem to have a great knowledge on the Duke, is the scene funny, hoe does it work and does Duke shoot any of the Gremlins as I read on one web site.

It's a long time ago that I saw the scene, and I only saw it once - as I said, they changed the sequence later on, so I've never been able to see it again. But now that you ask me, it comes back to me: Yes, they also included short glimpses from Cahill - the shootout at night. They intercut Wayne shooting his gun with Gremlins dropping dead in the woods. It's a nice cutting job but really nothing special. Since all the films were Warner Brothers - Cowboys, Cahill and Gremlins - they had the right to use those scenes.

hey!

I don't remember the scene all of you are talking about. I'm going to rent the movie to check it out for myself. But I have a question, was that Gremlins 1 or 2 the scene was in?

Also, just for the heck of it, if you watch E.T. , there is a scene from "The Quiet Man" in that film. It's where Sean grabs Mary Kate, pulls her towards him and then kisses her, then Eliot does the same to a girl in class. Please (The Shootister & Robbie ;) ), no discussions of Ireland, thank you.
