I have mixed opinions on the pictures used for the banners on this web site. The one which displays John Wayne shooting under the bridge in TSOKE is excellent however the one of him on a horse in the same movie is quite poor as he does look quite ill in that picture. I am also not a fan of the artistic picture of the cowboy on a horse, can some of these picture be removed and updated with some more appealing ones.

I am puzzeled at your statement. I'm not sure if you are responding or objecting to your subject. Could you clarify what you are talking about? Maybe we can address what your request is about.

Upon reflecting your subject, I guess you are not satisfied with the banners that show Duke, so I must think you are commenting on the banners that are being shown on the top of the site.

I am confused by your statement I don't understand why I would be responding or objecting something which I said, could you clear this up please.

The pictures of John Wayne on the top of the screen in each page of this web site is what I am voicing concerns about. Dukes made the movie the sons of Katie Elder following his cancer operation and the picture from that movie on the banner used by this site of him on his horse illustrates that he does not look at all well.

I am also not particualary in favour of the random artistic cowboy image.

Hope this clears up any confusion that may have existed.

I don't seem to have the same banners as you do. Maybe that's where the confusion lies.

I thought maybe I had figured out why. When Kevin had a makeover of the message board you had an option to choose skins (old style/new style). I thought maybe we had chosen different skins. I went back to the thread where it is explained how to change it but I can't see the option to change it anymore. Maybe I'm going blind?

Within my control I do not have the option to change the skin type of the board which I view either. The five pictures which I view are as follows:

1. A picture of the Alamo
2. John Wayne shooting under the bridge in TSOKE
3. A picture of Duke head in TSOKE
4. A picture of an ill looking Duke on a horse in TSOKE
5. An artistic picture of a cowboy.

As far as I can see I have the same banner following me around the board all the way around the board (picture of John Wayne from the neck up). I hope we are talking about the same thing. I guess Kevin will have to answer this one.

I take that back. I have been using Firefox lately as a browser. I opened the site in Internet Explorer and I suddenly had a different banner.

I use OPERA as a browser, best thing yet in my opinion. Very fast, never gets any errors and comes with a built in pop-up blocker. I suggest if to you all.

Another picture that comes up periodically is Duke in the doorway, at the end of The Searchers. I'm not quite sure what dictates which pictures come up when, but they do change periodically. Kevin can probably give us a better idea of what it's all about.

I have not seen that picture of Duke in the doorway at the end of 'The Searchers' since the messageboard was revampted, its a good picture though and one which I feel should be used at a universal level.
