Good morning!

I just got back from a local flea market, hoping that the fellow who was there last year selling videos would be back again, and sure enough, he was!

I got a selection of videos, ranging from comedy (Ray Stevens) to old westerns from TV (Death Valley Days) and movies, and among the lot, there were 14 John Wayne videos. They were in like-new condition, and I know for a fact I have duplicated some titles that I already have, but at $1 each I grabbed them all. I'll be making up a list of duplicates, and will offer them for sale here for say, $2 each plus shipping, if anyone is interested.

Greetings to you, Chester,

Could you tell me what you purchased in your video inventory? Love to hear what you have to offer.

hi chester,

we have someone like that here but his movies are the parrot on the shoulder kind  (pirate) copies so they might be cheep but were they the real deal. would like to take you up on the offer but postage would cost more than the movie did  .

cheers smokey :)

Hondo, I haven't had a chance to check what I got against what I already have (I've been posting as fast as I can for some reason :) ), but as soon as things slow down around here, I'll check them out and share with all.

Smokey, I'd be happy to just send you one of my duplicates just to see if you would be able to watch it on your machine, in your region, and I'd cover the postage for you. :) We feel confident these are not pirated copies.

Guten morgen alles!

As far as the bootleg issue is concerned, I don't believe most are video bootleggers at flea markets. One guy that I purchase from, buys his VHS & DVDs from mom & pop video stores who go out of buisness because they can't compete with the large Video Rental Corps. Others I talked to, get them from garage sales. I found this is the best way to find the rare movies that you are trying to collect.

Best way to tell if its pirated, is to see if it has the original package and the original name sticker on the tape.

Chester, I have two tapes to trade if you want. They are North to Alaska & Rio Lobo. Both are in great condition. Let me know what you have, maybe we can work a deal.

Chester,

Did you ever get a chance to look at your duplicates? We have some holes in our collection that need filling.

Thanks,

GSP
