Hello everybody
Ever thought of running a monthly competition
It would have not only have the effect of encouraging new members but also attract current members to become more active!
I may start running a few comps on my UK John Wayne site - may be fun
Just a thought ;)
All the best

dont think of prizes as a material thing think outside the box, you could award something like a badge but only after one has been the winner of say 10 monthly comps. just a thought do with as you wish.

Kevin,
smokey's idea is a good one. How about a temporary badge or other icon, like a blue ribbon, for a month.

Interesting Smokey, your right.
We could award the winner a special designation on the board.

Hi Kevin
As you say, expense is an issue!
So just a thought for you!
Why not hold several competitions where the winner is awarded "points" say 3, second 2, third place gets 1
The first to accumulate, lets say 25 points is the "grand-JW champion"
Then they get a "jw" package!
This can be held over numerous weeks making it cost effective and also result in terms of Forum interest, well, it will go through the roof!!
Just an idea
Kind Regards
John

Very interesting suggestion. Something can be done along this line. It's time to move some ideas forward for the new year! 2006 is JWMB's year.
Thanks for the suggestions, J.C.
