Going completely off subject
You mentioning a Colt 45. John Wayne had big hands and the gun looks very small, just what sizes are we talking about. i.e .How big would a colt 45 look in a man with normal size hands.
I've seen pictures of the Navy Colt are the two guns similar.

Arthur,
Duke's hands were about 1/2 again the size of my hand. The Navy and Army Colts are Cap and Ball and came from the 1860s. The 1873 Colts are the ones that you see in most of the Duke's Westerns films.
He did use the U.S. Army Cap and Ball Pistol in the Horse Solder Films. It had a longer Barrel than the 1873 Colts that he used in most of his Westerns. :o I have both U.S. Army and Navy in my gun collection. The U.S. Army Colt Pistol is the one that he used in Yellow Ribbon.

Hello Mr. Brooks, and an early Happy New Years.
I don't think I could handle having a star either--I think i'd be slightly out of place with one.
Now--I have been a Sergeant-at-Arms in an organization before which was kind of a nice position at that time. :cowboy:
