Ok, ok, we seem to be getting sidetracked here. I love coming to this board. :P This is the biggest collection of Duke fans on any board I have seen yet. Kevin provides this board so we can all talk and share our passion for John Wayne. I think some of us have lost focus. :unsure: We are many people from many backgrounds here and will no doubt dis-agree on many things. That doesn't give anyone the right to openly insult another. :angry: If you don't agree with a post, say so, but leave the nasty comments off this board. I know I am getting tired of it and will bail on this board if it continues. No sweat off some people's back, but I will be missing a great board. It may drive others away as well, and that would be a shame. :( Please let the petty bickering end and let's get back to doing what we all enjoy. Talking about John Wayne. :) Just had to have my say. I disagree, and don't like you anymore. How can you say that we can't bicker on stupid comments, and most of all, disagree with me? Your point is well taken, and we do come from many different backgrounds. The common interest among all of us is we are DUKE FANS or DUKE HEADS. Kevin is very dedicated to this board, and REASR & LibertyV gives a lot to this as well. Only recently did Kevin invite Chester and myself to help out as moderators. I am honored and overwhelmed with the awesome responsibility bestowed to me. You, are a value as everyone on this board. As we approach 200 members, I want to see this grow with many new insights, comments, and gifts of Duke stories. I have learned so much, and look forward everytime I enter this board.

Kevin has stated in the board agreement to appropriate behavior, and tame language, as well as refain name calling to Duke or anyone else. It does not accomplish anything, and most of all, it creates hurt feelings. I know we are mature to let this roll off, but why go to this level.

Dukefan1, you are a valued friend, and I think of you as that. You keep me thinking about things, and sometimes rolling in laughter. I look forward to years of more insight from you.

I would disagree with this topic lets look at the phrase "ets all be friends" thats hardly a realistic opinion in todays society I havent see anything on this messageboard yet which would be hurtful to anyone or any use of disgusting language either nothing more disgusting than the duke would have used himself and the duke was always careful in his choice of foul words. I think its very healthy to have conflicting views and to let them heat up a little and boil over id like to see what dukefan1 means by insulting one another if you could perhaps explian what area or topic etc you thought was insulting.

The problem isn't direct insults. I believe that the condescending attitude you display is. If you didn't approach each subject as though it were a prospective argument or debate, the 'insults' would be taken out of Dukefan1's post.

Hello!

I am new here but I am very impressed with this message board. Although I have no tenure here, I really must agree with dukefan1 and Hondo Duke Lane. I for one did not come aboard to argue. I am the biggest Duke fan in the world! All I want is a place to discuss him and his movies with people of a like mind.
I am looking forward to discussions with all of you.
And, no offence Northerner, but I find that your posts usually have quite a lot of sarcasm. Perhaps leaving that out would also help everyone get along and stay on topic.
