AMC just showed their Rio Grande preview. It's really something to see. They title John Wayne the Legend and soforth. They show clippings of the movie of course with him in it. I just thought it was really neat.
It comes on tuesday night. It seems like all of the movies they show, I have. I still watch them.

I dont have all the John Wayne movies but my collection is growing. We just got a DVD player at Christmas and now I am buying The Duke on DVD. I am enjoying them. I just wanted to comment that I am like you. Even thought I have seen the movie a hundred times or I have the VHS when I see it on a TV Channel- We stop and watch. TBS, AMC and TNT usually will play them fairly often but it seems that they dont do it as often as they used to. Just Chatting, Dukette

My collection is growing too, I would like to gave all of them, wouldn't you? Whenever the show them on TNT, AMC etc. they really chop them up and I hate that. It like the other night, The Quiet Man was on and they cut out atleast 4 scenes. But make sure when you buy the DVD's or VHS's their not boot leg and reputable (hope I spelleed that right) :)

How can you tell if your copy is a bootleg or imitation? I buy mine mainly through Walmart and just figured that they would only have reputable stuff. Is there something on the cover that you can look for to make sure you have the real thing?? Dukette

:o I saw the preview this evening as well, and it was great. AMC can do it right, why now, they have the best. Anyway, I really enjoy when they do this. Watch the video (DVD/VHS) they won't cut anything out. <_<

Rio Grande is a classic and one of my favorites. I loved that commercial on AMC that you're talking about.

Rio Grande is also one of my favorite westerns, I love the scene when Ben Johnson and Harry Carey Jr. stand on the two horses each and race around. What a movie.

Dukette, you only have to worry about bootlege videos if you buy them on any online auction like eBay. Otherwise, I would worry if I was you. I buy a few at Wally World myself. You can find a lot of hard to find JW movies at online DVD stores at reasonable prices.

I have Rio Grande & She Wore A Yellow Ribbon on DVD. I just wish they would hurry and get Fort Apache out also.
