Kevin and the moderators.

Can some old posts from members such as 'redwhich' be deleted. The reason I ask this is because an old topic has been brought to the top again and this may cause confusion to 'newer' members who may be unaware of what these members were attempting.

In addition to this can all the offending members have all their posts and accounts deleted so the potential of this problem arising again is erased.

Thanks in advance
Robbie

Good idea! ;) It's frustrating to see folks get bad info like that and not realize it. :angry:

I couldn't agree more.

Moderators have you made a decision on this issue yet?

Thanks

I think this is a good suggestion too. I haven't really seen that many, and I do report posts when I see ones I think should be removed. I doubt the posters mentioned by Robbie will be missed by anyone.

Popol Vuh

Hi Popol

It's good to hear that your in favour of this suggestion, I actually have to give you some credit as you were the poster who informed a newer member of the scam when the newer member resurrected one of the offending topics. So nice going!!.

Robbie,

I think you're on to something there. As moderator, I can delete posts like the ones you have referenced, but I would feel better running it by Kevin first. As to deleting members entirely, Kevin is the only one who has that "power".

Hey Guys,

If you have the time please use the 'Report' post option to notify the mods of the particular threads/post/members that you feel need attention.

I (to a certain point) feel the same on this matter.

Kevin

PS. The 'Report' button is found on the bottom left of each post area under the member name.

Thanks for let me know about the error. I'm working that issue now, but as of yet, haven't found the fix.

If you can copy down the url's of the threads and send them to me via PM.

The report button has been removed because the report function doesn't work, atleast while I'm working to get it going again.

Robbie, you can use the PM option, or email me directly with the threads you want considered. Just copy and paste the complete url in the message.

Kevin;

Well I guess I am Just To Old To Know "What Unsavory Members" are? :fear: Does that mean Someone that is Cussing, or talking Dirty or Someone that is just Making Trouble for this John Wayne Web-Site? :fear2:

Chilibill,

I think you got it all rolled into one ball.

In the case of the posters mentioned by Robbie, it was a case of one person signing on as three different members (wait . . . I think it may have been four!), and one of them implying that she had had close ties to John Wayne and was in possession of valuable JW memorabilia that she just might sell if the price was right . . . <_< . . . and the others responding admiringly, but as if they didn't know the first one, when in fact "they" were all posting from the same computer!

Of course, in your case, we know that you're the "real McCoy" and that you wouldn't sell your JW memorabilia for ANY price :rolleyes: .

As Popol Vuh states, those members aren't any that will be missed. Once we exposed "them" they disappeared (i.e., ceased to post).

And in doing a search of the member list, it would seem that Kevin may have already removed the "Unsavourary" members :D .

Chester;

I am sure Glad that You Cleared that up!!! :fear: I was about to think that I may have to Bail Out over the 26 Bar Ranch and Hoped I Did Not Forget to Pull The D-Ring or "Rip-Cord." :P Well I will get back to Working on the Book and Posting More Stories over on Duke Stories. :)

Do you know if anyone has been Taken In with this Scam? :(
