Hi Kevin

I have noticed that Keith is very busy at present sorting out and merging topics in relation to movies. He is doing this in order to ensure the boards efficiency, and incidentally he's doing a good job.

Could I suggest that in addition to Keith efforts could old dead topics be deleted, By dead topics I refer to those started by a member but never actually receiving any replies, an example would be the following link. Incidentally the member who started this topic only posted once and that was in 2003, I feel this is also a suitable person to have their account deleted for two reasons:

1. This members account is inactive.
2. This member never actually contributed anything significant to the board as a whole.

What I am suggesting should free up the message boards memory and improve on its relevance and efficiency.

Thanks for your time
Robbie.

As moderator, I don't have the "power" to delete members.

However, FWIW, I have pruned out quite a few "dead" topics, those that were posted a very long time ago, and received no responses, or some that had a time-value regarding an upcoming event that has since passed. I also merged several threads that discussed the same topic. If anyone finds threads that need to be merged, perhaps they could PM me with the info.

Thanks!

Hey Jim,

Good job.. I'm doing this too as I find a post that has never been replied to I usually close them. But we can remove them also. Leaving them doesn't take any measurable resource on the server.

As for members pruning the current policy is to remove members that have never posted to the site, and remove them after 2 years.
