sun526 November 17th, 2006, 09:12 PM Hi I don't know if anyone is interest, but I have a copy of "The Quiet Man" on vhs to sell. After a lot of searching I found this copy that is in like new condition. I want seven dollars for it plus a couple of dollars for shipping (in USA, out of states shipping would be a little more) Anyway thanks for looking. Any questions please don't hesitate to pm me.
Thanks,
Larry
sun526 November 22nd, 2006, 12:01 PM Ok then , No replies. There was a member, john_wayne_saddle_up, That wanted this and I pm'd him about having it and have not gotten a reply so . The video is now in the collection of my uncle who also wanted it. It made a nice b-day gift for him. Sorry john_wayne_saddle_up....Snooze, you loose. -_-
Hondo Duke Lane December 7th, 2006, 05:52 PM Larry,
I hope you are not offended. Though we all love this movie and think a lot of Duke and Maureen O'Hara, I would have to say that most of use have either a copy of The Quiet Man on VHS or DVD or Both. As for me, I have this movie in both formats.
And though I like a good deal for Duke movies, I haven't bought any VHS movies in nine years. There is no need and I think that is the same for every one here. You might want to try eBay.
Cheers B)
Senta December 10th, 2006, 02:47 AM Hi,
at the date I have 90 Duke movies and some of them in both formats. That\s go for The Quiet Man too. I first bought it on VHS released in Russia, when on DVD and it also is in the big UK collection of 34 Duke movies.
Regards,
Senta

Wow, pretty impressive collection!! I like how you have them in chronological order by release. What are the ones at the very beginning?

DakotaSurfer January 16th, 2007, 09:12 AM I went by a book I purchased or actually my wife got for me called: "The Duke: A Life in Pictures" by Rob Wagner. In the back of the book it had a filmography listing and I went by that more or less. And then by year of course. If I go and find actual release date things may have to change I just went by the book for now. It shows The Great K&A Train Robbery by Fox in 1926 first and The Shootist last. I did exclude 3 that he did that didn't have him credited or one that was UK movie that didn't credit him. My total has 168 films. I have two txt file attachments that have my listing in this thread: Movie Listing (http://www.dukewayne.com/thread2029.html)

Not sure which ones you mean... but I used a book I got from Barnes and Noble called: "The Duke: A Life in Pictures" Here's the book: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?ISBN=0760728658&pdf=y&z=y

Robbie,
This new board is a little different, in that posts that have not yet been "validated" (or approved by a moderator) don't show up to you, but they do to the moderators. However, on the old board, they were in a different color, so we knew right away they hadn't been approved. It seems there's a different process here, and moderators have to go to a separate moderator control panel in order to approve posts.
So what happened is that my post was automatically posted because I'm a moderator, so it seemed out of place because you couldn't see the preceding post that I saw (not realizing it was invisible to the rest of you).
We keep learning new things about this new board :stunned:.
I hope that explains some things (like why poor Duke Pilgrim wasn't getting his post approved). Feel free to ask for clarification if this doesn't make sense.

erthomp143 January 19th, 2007, 01:53 PM I was looking at the picture and it looks like small Jewel cases until you get up next to the John Wayne DVD's then they kind of tilt funny so I think it is a book end of some kind to stop the movies from falling over.
I don't have a picture of my movies, but I do have a web site of them. I know I have posted this before, but hey any chance I get to post it, I will.
My Movies (http://www.senseforscents.com/jw_m/jw_m_web.php) You can sort by name, year and run time.
