I had seen those too. I was going to get one but the last two were grabbed up. Seems like John Wayne films still sell very well at Wal Mart. I just can't figure why they won't stock more of 'em. <_<

BrianB and Baron,

Wal-Mart in my area is doing away with John Wayne DVD's due to low sales, as they put it. I just know from experience that everytime I went to Wal-Mart, they would be sold out. When I inquired about the lack of JW movies, they told me that they were pulling out all the classics (including JW movies), because the new movies were making better sales. I just look at them, and tell them that you have control of all the market place in town, but I promise you'll never get my business again. Wal-Mart basically dictates what they want to give to us comsumers, and we don't have a choice.

:D

If you want to get some great bargins, and get all the Duke movies you can on DVD, you can go online and get the best prices (better than Wal-Mart after taxes). Go to http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/index.cfm

You can find all the John Wayne movies by just typing his name and clicking the actor button. There you will see all his movies they have, and you'll be surprise to see a lot of his films less than $10 including shipping.

:o

Try it out everyone!

;)

BTW, ask Wal-Mart (the video department) why they won't bring in more Duke movies. You'll be surprise what they will tell you. I can't find any in mine, the last time looked.

I received my order from DeepDiscountDVD yesterday and got Chisum and Cahill: United States Marshal for $14.39 (including shipping) apiece. A total of $28.78 for the two. And it came to my door. Wal-Mart can't beat that.

Sorry, overseas people, this is for the U.S. and Canada area. I am searching for places for Australia, but haven't found anything yet, smokey. But I have some distributor friends who have bigger connections, and doing a search for me.

:o I usually check Wal Mart first just to see what they have. If I do find one, I feel like I can come back later to get it. But it's almost always gone. And they say they can't sell John Wayne Movies?? I found out that the stores don't order anything but are sent the merchansise by the Company heads who live in another state. They dictate what to sell in the stores. Wal Mart is out of touch with the public.

Best Buy is the next best store to check out. They usually keep John Wayne movies in stock, but you need to wait 6 months to a year and the prices will come down by 10 bucks.

Another store I shop at is FYE. They have a decent amount of movies in stock. Here is their online website:FYE (For Your Entertainment) (http://www.fye.com/)

For online DVD Empire (http://www.dvdempire.com) has a lot of John Wayne movies that are pretty reasonable.

To check for prices, I suggest DVD Best Price Search (http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/cgi-bin/dvdhtml2). They will search their database and give you prices on several online stores, as well as all movies out on DVD by an actor. I suggest giving them a look.
