Hey, folks!

If you hit the "Quick Links" you will see "Googlemap ME" down at the bottom.

The way I found the latitude and longitude for myself was to Google "latitude longitude [my town, state, country]" and it came right up. Make sure to include any minus signs in front of a number, or you may end up in China :ohwell: (nothing wrong with China if you live there). Do not include the N, S, E, or W designation, as that is not necessary.

We hope to see members fill the map like they did on the old message board!

Here is a pretty good site for finding your latitude and longitude -

I googled mine like Chester7777 suggested and it worked fine.

You can also just click the map provided to get your coordinates. How exactly, depends on your location - in the case of England, you're able to find the house you live in.

(bump)Since we have several new members I figured I'd resurrect this thread and make people aware of our members map (http://www.dukewayne.com/vbgooglemapme.php) section. The members map (http://www.dukewayne.com/vbgooglemapme.php) section allows JWMB members to pin their location for all to see. This has been a great way for us all to see where we all login from all across the world!!

Feel free to add yourself to the map (http://www.dukewayne.com/vbgooglemapme.php).

Hi Kevin,

the members map used to be in the Quick Links drop menu.
It seems to have gone, is it somewhere else?

Thanks

Yeah, we have to echo Keith's question -

Where is the Member Map??

Now that we have a member from Africa, putting us on FIVE continents, we gotta resurrect it.

I miss it!

I'm very late on this but the members map is still up and running (http://www.dukewayne.com/vbgooglemapme.php?do=showmain). I just need to add it back to the menu up top.

When I looked at the Member map today, none of the markers were showing. Is it just me, or does something need to be adjusted? The list of members who have posted there is three pages long, so there is some record, but I'm not seeing the actual markers on the map.

I tried it,and never in the right place!I compared my exact location in Google Maps so I signed it on the Members' map.But if I tried to search it by latitude and longitude,it showed to me a desert place in West Sicily...:cry2:However now it's right at the millimeter!

Not hardly!

You do have to specifically enter your coordinates to be included, everybody is not automatically on it.

If you do a google search for your coordinates, make sure to include any minus (-) signs, as they can be the difference between being in China or the middle of the ocean and the correct place.

°°Flaca°°, we are so glad you persevered!! It's great to see your marker on the map!

I think we might have a couple more members from Italy, but they are not necessarily active at this time.
