Thanks! Chester Hondo Duke Lane July 8th, 2003, 11:09 PM BrianB, I picked The Quiet Man, but the best fist fight scene in Duke's career which is also the best in cinematic history according to many is The Spoilers with Marlene Dietrich, and Randolph Scott. This movie marked as the best fighting ever. You have to watch it. I really loved it myself. I have it on VHS; not on DVD yet. It may be discontinued on VHS. Not sure, but if you can get it, do it. I highly recommend the April 1942 movie. ;) Harry Carey was also in this movie. Hondo B) BrianB July 8th, 2003, 11:13 PM Chester, Best Fist fight. Brian Tulalip Wa Monique July 9th, 2003, 01:19 PM I would have to say The Quiet Man the fight between John Wayne and Victor McLaglen is one or not the longest brawl ever filmed. Monique ;) Robbie July 13th, 2003, 03:53 PM 1. The Cowboys 2. The Quiet Man 3. The War Wagon 4. Brannigan B) Chris Maude July 13th, 2003, 04:19 PM one of the best was in tall in the saddle with ward bond ,they got better at fist fights as time went on for instance a documentary i have called the duke some of his earlier movies with yakima canutt you could see how hard they were working on the fights to try and get them right because some were pretty shocking but that was one of there goals in those days to improve the fight scene because it was going to be a big part of jw's movies. JWfan July 22nd, 2003, 09:41 AM The Undefeated, is the most funniest John Wayne fist fight I think with Ben Johnson and Rock Hudson cya Jwfan gw_mclintock July 22nd, 2003, 10:41 AM I would have to say Mclintock! I have not seen The Quiet Man, maybe one day ill change my mind. Sunday, I watched The Fightin Kentuckian and I liked the brawling that went on over the gallon of rum. In all honesty, we Kentuckians would fight over ol grandpa's homemade moonshine. Lord, I know I would. GW William T Brooks October 2nd, 2004, 11:15 AM "The Quiet Man" and "Mclintock". Chilibill :cowboy: Jay J. Foraker March 17th, 2005, 12:37 PM I'll echo Chilibill's selection. "The Quiet Man" stretched the final confrontation to an almost unheard of length, yet I don't think anyone complains since there is enough variety through the event to keep the action interesting. "McLintock" uses the mud slide to comedic ends and has enough people involved to provide variety. Cheers - Jay :D The Ringo Kid April 24th, 2005, 02:52 PM I chose Wings of Eagles because it was the first movie I ever watched that had a great fist fight scene. But THE best non John Wayne movie fist fight scenes have to go to Clint Eastwood's Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can, movies. ethanedwards May 1st, 2005, 04:51 PM North To Alaska, particuarly the scene, outside in the mud, not only the barrel, dragged along on a wire, but Dukes toupee being knocked off, after being thumped! Emmanuel May 23rd, 2005, 06:45 AM THE QUIET MAN, hands down. Emmanuel. ............................. I'll try one of those black beers....THE QUIET MAN. mikec1010 March 14th, 2006, 08:11 PM The fight in the Quiet Man is legendary. And every time McLaghlen says, "My sister, the widow," it just cracks me up. Great stuff. Tbone August 3rd, 2006, 02:36 PM Can't top the Quiet Man! DakotaSurfer June 10th, 2007, 01:34 PM I don't see the question... John Wayne\ ??? DukePilgrim June 11th, 2007, 02:29 AM The best comedy fight sequence has to be The Quiet Man followed by McLintock. Mike chester7777 June 12th, 2007, 12:39 AM Chester, Best Fist fight. Brian Tulalip Wa DS, I think this is the answer to your question. I wondered the same thing as you, back in 2003:stunned:. DakotaSurfer June 20th, 2007, 01:39 AM Maybe the Mods should change the thread title... chester7777 June 20th, 2007, 02:28 AM Maybe the Mods should change the thread title... What a concept!
