I think some of you may have encountered the same problem I did tonight, receiving an error message because I tried to post on an old thread, that was over 350 days old.

If you are posting to an older thread ("resurrecting it" is our fond term for it:beer:), what you might not notice (I didn't the first time, but had a vague memory of someone else making a reference to something like it, so I went back and looked) near the bottom, a space where you will see the following -

Old Thread Warning
http://www.dukewayne.com/images/c2/misc/exclamation.gifThis Thread is more than 361 days old. It is very likely that it does not need any further discussion and thus bumping it serves no purpose. If you still feel it is necessary to make a new reply, you can still do so though.
(little box here) I am aware that this Thread is rather old but I still want to make a reply.

The number of days may vary, but the essence is there - so if you want to, you CAN post to old threads, you just have to check the little box.

I had the same problem some weeks ago and this problem occurs for posts that have not been active for around 50 days as well.

I think the little message is a little unfair as many older topics have few posts in them and would ultimately benefit from more posts. Maybe Kevin would consider changeing or erasing this message as it may be off putting to some potential posters.
