Ha...it's no wonder I didn't know it. I saw that film once in the mid-80s, and after it was over, told myself never to watch it again. And guess what...I never have. I consider it to be one of the worst films John Wayne has ever appeared in, and that includes all his 1930's B western turkeys!

I watched Red River again today and did not hear the quote in it. Then I started thinking...maybe it was Rio Bravo when Duke stepped in when Dean Martin was drunk in the saloon and being mad fun of. Yes, 'Tall In The Saddle' was the film. One of my all-time favorite scenes....John Wayne walking deliberately down the street towards a drunken Harry Woods. Woods starts to reach for his 6-shooter, and Duke utters the immortal line (while continuing to walk right at him!). Just a great scene from a great film!

Not really...the game works best when everyone tries to guess their answers in a public forum. Once the correct response is given, the person who put out the quote out confirms it's right. After that, another person puts out a quote. If you PM your answers, it takes away the fun of having the group playing together.

Okay, that said, let me throw another one out. Not sure if this is the exact quote, but it should be close enough:

You know, I almost watched that movie the other day too! Now I'll definitely have to go watch it.

I have watched that movie and couldn't remember that quote. Time to break out the DVD again.

Finally watched Seven Sinners last night. Although it's mostly a vehicle for Dietrich, John Wayne does very well with what he has to work with. And it was a plesant surprise to see Duke's co-star from 'The Sea Spoilers' three years prior, in the movie. The young Lt. from that film, who get's command of Duke's Coast Guard ship from his Dad's appointment, plays a minor role as one of the Navy men in this film.

Oh, and by the way, I did see where Duke tells Dietrich to look deep into his honest blue eyes (and then he changes it to gray eyes for a laugh).
