To all,
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Duke's Hollywood Cowboys, and to welcome them to this message board. Kevin has graciously allowed the group their own little nook here, in this forum, in the presence of other John Wayne fans. Hopefully, we'll get to know each other well, and share our knowledge and love of the Duke.
Duke's Hollywood Cowboys (DHC for short) is an international John Wayne Fan Club where men and women want to keep Duke’s image, and that of the West, alive. It was founded by Ermal Williamson, a well known John Wayne look-alike/impersonator. DHC consists of people who simply want to be a part of the Western look. These Western characters, look-alikes, and impersonators entertain at Western events, supper clubs, trade shows, conventions, and charity events. The performances can include horses, gunfights, light comedy, and one-person performances by the artist(s) in stage or dinner theater atmosphere. Many are professionals, dedicated to keeping the West and their character alive. Other members join simply because they love John Wayne and the Old West. One may join Duke’s Hollywood Cowboys as a non-participant, or participant; as a Western character, or just come-as-you-are type person; and/or as a look-alike or impersonator.
