Though it's been mentioned somewhat in passing in other areas of the message board, it seems appropriate to make official announcements here regarding upcoming DHC events.

The one coming up is DHC Days in Branson, Missouri, October 16th through the 19th. There will be an official gathering of as many of Duke's Hollywood Cowboys as are able to get there. Ermal will keep us updated as to actual details as the time gets closer.

Of course, all John Wayne fans are encouraged to join with the DHC at this event. The reason for the gathering in Branson is that Ermal is performing there, at the Owens Theater, until sometime in November (he opened there the first week of July).

I'm not aware of any events in the Seattle/Vancouver area, but I am pretty sure one of the DHC, who portrays The Man with No Name, is from the Pacific Northwest area. When he's in costume, he looks just like Clint.

We also have Paladin in the area. I visited the Man with No Name and Paladin last year and had a great book siging - set up by the Man with No Name. Paladin is Don Schilling - the Man with No Name is Jon Wilson. Good DHC'ers.
We're looking to go to Moab, Utah next year to celebrate Duke's birthday.

Will try to get more info for you on that.

As to the DHC'ers being here Oct. 16-19th., we'll have another surprise for them. Betty and I bought a home here in Branson and we'll have our first DHC meeting in it when you guys get here. How about them apples?
