I last readed that John Wayne was asked for the comedymovie Blazing Saddles but that John Wayne didn't do it because It was bad for his image.
Is that true?

Well, Mel Brooks gave Duke a script to read, and he came back laughing hard. :lol: He loved it, but couldn't do it, because it was too dirty and Duke did have a good image to consider, that's according to Mel Brooks in the commentary on the DVD release. Duke did buy the whole front row seats at the premiere opening of the movie. You can hear this on the director's commentary of the Blazing Saddles DVD.
