A few months ago, I was trying to drum up some support for the Pop List poll, and joined a number of John Wayne related groups on Yahoo so I could post the request for help. One of the groups that has a decent sized membership, and is fairly active, is johnwaynefans. The admin/moderator of that group is Clive Woollands of the UK, and he is a registered member here (but hasn't posted yet) by the user name of chisum2. While researching his Yahoo site, I noticed one of the features, Film Facts, in which he chooses a different film each week or so and shares some trivia about the film. It's about a paragraph long, and offers some interesting information which nicely complements information in each of our movie threads (of course, some information is duplicated).

I asked Clive's permission to re-post his Film Facts here in our forum, and he graciously consented. He also indicated that in the future, he will share here each week as he posts in his own forum.

So rather than have that same intro on each Film Fact that I repost, I thought I would tell you guys here what's going on.

Where will he post these film facts? In the movie threads or will he do his own posts? Just wanna know so I know where to look. I look foward to learning from him.

Hi Mark, I will have to talk it through with Chester, as although I have been a member for a few months now, I have just posted my first message in the newbie forum and have to get used to all these threads before I get round to posting anything else. Clive, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the JWMB, and thank you for sharing your Film Facts with us, and hopefully other knowledge and comments as well, regarding the great man John Wayne.

Since another member from the UK, ethanedwards (aka Keith), has already organized all of Duke's films in the Duke's Movie Discussions and devoted a separate thread to almost every movie JW made, we posted the first four Film Facts in their respective threads. We think that would be the best place, to keep all the information organized, as Keith would say. Then, if someone has a question about a particular film, or wants to add something, all the information will be under one umbrella, so to speak.

Again, Clive, WELCOME to the John Wayne Message Board! We know you have another forum to watch over, but we look forward to your occasional visits here :teeth_smile:.

As Chester says, all the movies are listed. individually
under Westerns, War Movies, by year etc.
Also if you have any on Maureen 'O Hara,
we also have a dedicated section for them.
