Has anybody bought the commemorative guns for Duke, Gary Cooper and Elvis Presley?

Also, was Duke actually a member of the NRA? I know Audie Murphy was, although he was a Democrat.

Yes Duke was a Life Member of the N.R.A.
And as being a Democrat in my part of the Southwest, and belonging to the N.R.A.?
The Democrats out here have Guns of all types and Hunt and Shoot Also just as they have been doing for over 150 years !

Sorry for my mistake, I always thought Democrats were anti-gun.

Cole,

The Democrats you hear about in the media (i.e., the leadership of the party) are generally totally anti-gun. Most of the Democrats in the country, who consider themselves the heart and soul of the party, have a different opinion. Plenty of them own firearms for self-defense and are at odds with the leadership's position on this subject and likely many more.

Thanks for filling me in Chester! I only hear about American politics from Yahoo or the Telegraph. The only Democrats I really know of are Ted Kennedy, Nacy Pelosi, John Kerry and John Edwards.

Those you just listed are so out of touch with reality that they should not be listened to at all, never, ever!!!!

Now that I think about it, there's also a lady from California I read about, only I can't remember her name.

Could you possibly be referring to Barbara Boxer or Dianne Fienstien? :vomit:

These women (I can't bring myself to call them ladies) make some hard-core communists look conservative.

I realize we have strayed (ot), but I think this is the sort of thing that John Wayne was concerned about during his life time. The anti-gun lobby wasn't as strong when he was alive, but they have gained strength since then.

Did he ever say anything about President Johnson's Gun Control Act of 1968? I understand both Charlton Heston and James Stewart campaigned for it, following the assassinations of Dr King and Bobby Kennedy.

That picture of Chester shooting the loop lever Winchester makes me very envious of him. Great pictures and stories once again Bill.
