Just continuing on from a post which Chance started regarding pictures of John Wayne, I would like all fans on this board to place here the picture(s) which you have recovered which you feel shows Duke at his best or even simply a picture which is your favourite of the Duke.

I think that's a great idea, Robbie. It is a chance to share and maybe get a pic we didn't have in our collection. I will start with 3 of my own. I love the Hondo one the best and Him with Patricia Neal shows his softer side. The third is a Life magazine cover with what I think is a very good rendition of him on the cover. Enjoy! dukefan1

Hello Monique. I know how to do it when the picture is on your web page. Go to your site and right click on the picture you want to put here. Then click on the properties tab. There will be an address for that specific picture on the page that opens up. Open notepad and clip and paste the address onto it, or just write it down on a piece of paper. Then come here and when you reply to this thread, click the IMG button above your post and put the address in the prompt that pops up. It will insert the picture when you finish and click Add Reply. OK, the computer geek in Mrs. Chester comes out!

I will share a little tip I learned a long time ago, that has been SO useful over the years (and I'm sure many of you know this already, but this is for those who don't). No need to open any other programs or find paper and pencil to get information from one place to another in cyberspace.

Following dukefan1's directions to get the address you want, highlight the desired information (click and drag your mouse across it until it's highlighted), then press and hold down the Ctrl key and then the "C" key; then release both keys. What you have just done is copied the information onto your virtual clipboard (you can't see it, but it's there, in your computer). Then, continuing with dukefan1's directions, click your cursor into the place where you want to put the information, and press and hold down the Ctrl key and then the "V" key, then release both keys, and the information you "copied" should "paste" or magically appear. :o

This is handy for copying and pasting web addresses, info from other web sites (you can do paragraphs at a time, or the whole article) to post here (with permission and/or proper credit, of course :rolleyes: ), from one document to another, etc.

I hope I haven't confused anyone with this . . . :unsure:
