Obviously, I didn't know what I was doing when I tried to post this video without a little beforehand research. I thought a video from any source could be posted so long as the source's link was contained within the yt codes. Oh well, live and learn.

You can just post the link. The yt codes only work for stuff specifically on the YouTube site. There might be a way to directly put a video from another site into a post, but if there is, I don't know what it is.
