He would have been 105 today.

Happy Birthday Mr. Hope. Once again I must mention satellite radio as RadioClassics on Sirius 118 is airing the entire 1948 season. Some good laughs indeed.

Bob Hope was a character who had character. if you google to Bob HopeJulien'sAuction2008 you can see some memorabilia that is being auctioned this fall.

The Mrs. and the kids watched two Bob Hope movies in the past couple of days - The Lemon Drop Kid (which we might add to our Christmas movies) and Paris Holiday.

The Mrs. and the kids watched two Bob Hope movies in the past couple of days - The Lemon Drop Kid (which we might add to our Christmas movies) and Paris Holiday.

Chester, The Lemon Drop Kid is a movie that is definitely on my Christmas list of movies I try to watch every Holiday season. It's also the movie that got to introduce the song "Silver Bells," sung by Bob and Marilyn Maxwell. Of course, Bob's best friend and longtime partner, Bing Crosby picked up on the song and later released his own version, which has since gone on to become a Christmas standard.

Incidentally, I just watched two Bob Hope films myself, Alias Jesse James and Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number. Both of them left me rolling on the floor!!!!

Cancel My Reservations is one movie I'd like to see with Bob Hope. It also happens to have a cameo of John Wayne. I know that it is not a great movie, but I'd still like to see it.
