Seen it and it is great. It's John Wayne at his best. BTW, Chester you can order the video (VHS) from A&E.com . They will be glad to send it to you for around $20.00 plus shipping and handling. Thanks for the info dukefan1, I never get tired of seeing this biography, they do Duke well.

That would be 6:00 a.m Central time.

Cheers, Hondo B)

Chester and all,

Here is the web site for the biography on John Wayne. I want to make one correction, the price is $29.95 plus shipping and handling. This is the only biography of Duke from A&E.

VHS - http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=14317

DVD - http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=70687

And this one is a web site for the John Ford biography for $19.95 plus shipping & handling. VHS only

http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=17580

Looks like A&E got the hint to put out DVD's, Baron

Cheers, Hondo B)

Anyone know if any UK channels are planning to screen a documentary on the Duke it must be at least five years since the last one. :(

Sorry I missed it . I'll have to order it.
Hondo there is another bio from A&E. I have it. It was out maybe 2or3 years ago. I think there is another besides that one now that I think about it because the second one has a more recent talk with Maureen O'Hara. If you look on their website it should list it.

Couldn't believe it...I didn't know that it was going to be on...and I don't have cable...but we were travelling out of state, and I was settling in to our motel room and was flipping channels and happened on the show! Unfortunately, I couldn't watch it all (had to get the kids to bed), and I didn't have my VCR to tape it. Looks like I will have to shell out the 30 bucks if I want it. For those who saw it...was it work the money? I saw some good stuff in the 20 minutes I saw...interview of Robert DuVall...the importance of stagecoach, etc.

I thought it was pretty good. My only complaint is I wish they spent more time on the people's thoughts about Duke. But it did give a pretty good look into Duke's career. I'd spend the dough on it if I didn't already tape it. You know most of us Duke Heads...just gotta have it! :D dukefan1

I've just saw a clip of the Barbara Walters interview Jwayne.com.
Looks like a pretty good interview. The Duke looks well and relaxed anyway has anyone seen the full interview. Was it any good? :uhuh:
