Elly,
This is my list of TV appearances I have compiled so far. Of course, I am NOT saying this is all of them and post these lists hoping for 2 things:

help to complete them

and

help with dates and correct titles.

Those with no date - I need to confirm the full air date and title.

I am currently editing The Reference Book and Elly's list
on to the sticky thread, the Definitive list

Elly, please take a look,
thanks for your monumental efforts

Hello Keith

Looks good to me and makes a slight mockery of those books and folks that say he appeared on TV about 140 times!

I know that a lot of the items on the list are showing archive clips but is that not "JW on the telly"? Long may it continue as a new generation get to see the great man.

Even the most obscure items are of interest to me. I always like to watch the whole show to get the context in which JW is there. Not always pleasant or comfortable viewing but worth watching.

Elly

Hi Keith and Brando

I have already answered this on the post from where it was moved. Given that it was November and a special I am sure it has to be Swing out Sweet land aired around 5th November 1970. Now of course released on DVD as JW tribute to America.

Nice poetry Keith (telly elly!)

I just had to revive this thread. The link that Mike provided so long ago ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) is still good, and when you get there, you will have a good time reading!

Enjoy!

Hello

Found a new site with lots of John Wayne clips from television.

Amongst them is intro to Gunsmoke, Camel cigarette ad and sketch with Red Skeleton, Don Rickles ABC and sound clips from Bob Hope and Lucy plus 5- 6 TV spots for trailers.

Enjoy

My Photos:

Nice that there is John Wayne material out there that generally hasnt been seen by the fans. A DVD of his promo and television appearances would be nice
but unlikely because of all the copyright issues

Mike
As we now have a dedicated thread for this subject,
I have merged Mike's excellent post here.

hi All

I recently posted an up to date list of JW TV appearances elsewhere.

Seems as I get my wanted list down by aquiring more items then it goes back up again as Bob and I discover more things JW appeared in.

Not sure Bob or myself will ever acquire everything or even get a totally complete list but its fun trying
