For those of you that enjoy video games, there are two Western based games on the way. Both are sequels to previous games. They are:

Red Dead Redemption - sequel to Red Dead Revolver

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - sequel to Call of Juarez

I have played both earlier games and must say that Red Dead Revolver was better. But both sequels look to be way better than the original. Now, I wish they would make a sequel to the video game, Gun. In my opinion, that was the best western game out there so far.

Anyone else play the earlier games? If so, what did you think of them and will you get the new ones? I am starting to save my pennies now.

Red Dead was a fun game, I played it on XBOX. It should look and play even better on PS3.

Todd, it will look great and play better than the original. This time, Red Dead Redemption will be an open world. You will be able to roam wherever you want to inside the massive world they created. You will be able to follow the game story or do side missions. You will even be able to hunt game and sell the pelts for money. You can ride the train from town to town or take a stagecoach. It sounds super. I hope it's not all hype. I don't have a PS3, but I have an XBOX 360. The game will be released on both platforms. Can't wait!

I would love to see one based on The Magnificent Seven-using the characters from the first movie. I would also love to see one based on the Jonah Hex Western Comic Books-starting with his time as a Confederate fighting in the Civil War-through his Bounty Hunter carreer. Lastly, I would love to see one based on the French Western called: Lieutenant Blueberry.

Red Dead was great, but GUN was my favorite as well! Looking forward to a new Red Dead.
