Tomorrow is May 25th, but it is also Memorial Day. We salute the people who defended our country and gave up their lives for this cause. Something we should never forget. Most of us will be off tomorrow and be with family and friends. Take a moment to reflect on the ones who gave up their lives for you to have this day. It's that moment that makes this a very special day for all of us.
I watched a movie only on HBO yesterday and have seen it a few months ago called Taking Chance. This starred Kevin Bacon who played a Marine who have the duty to take a fallen soldier home after being killed in Iraq in 2004. During the journey he encountered civilians who took the time to pay their respects to this soldier, and touched this Marine. If you get the opportunity to see this, it will touch your life with the attitude that is taking place in this country.
Happy Memorial Day to all of you everywhere.
Cheers  Hondo Duke Lane

I haven't seen the movie yet but, I've read the story and it was very touching. I've got to get ahold of this and see it.
I am a veteran and very proud to have served and the best part of being a vet to me is that at ball games or other functions where the national anthem is played, I can now give the hand salute like I did in the Army and I dare anybody to say anything about it. When I salute, it just makes the pride in my country come out even more.

Apologize to no one. Remind those of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.
As Americans, let's all look forward - like to the next elections.
IF I ADDED CORRECTLY
THE COUNT IS 104,366

The above are some VERY sobering statistics. Some mentioned are our dead from WWI. As far as I know-just in WWII alone-we lost over 400,000 American Soldiers lives. I don't know aht the total was for WWI as well as for the "Russian Expedition" after WWI ended. :-(
