Did John Wayne just have the one brother Robert who was younger? Or were there other siblings? (Half-brothers and/or sisters count.)

Hello and welcome, tomthumb. Duke's father remarried after the divorce from his mother and the woman he married had a daughter who's name was Nancy. Duke was known to refer to her as a sister, but they were not related by blood. I hope this helps. dukefan1

They would have been related by blood (same father) making Nancy Dukes step sister or simply sister.

Thanks for shareing that info I didnt know Duke had any over sibblings besides his brother 'Robert'.

John Wayne's father remarried to a woman who had a daughter from a previous marriage. Duke and Nancy were not related by blood, but by marriage, but by one of their parents. Duke just called her sister, which meant nothing leagally. Just something he refered to. Wayne's father was not the father of Nancy. :)
