I went to Dale Earnhardt Inc a couple of weeks ago and they had some John Wayne artifacts. They had photos, guns that he used from movies, a horse saddle, cowboy hat and his clothes that he wore in How the west was one. They also had Johnny Cash and Elvis artifacts.

They must put them on display. Are these on loan to them or were they purchased but DEI? Weird where these tthings show up sometimes. (I know that they sponsered a Duke car a couple times, just odd at times).

Hey rabbhimself, do you know if Dale Sr. collected John Wayne memorabilia during his lifetime, or were these collected by his family after Dale's passing? Just curious, as I never heard about Dale Sr. being a big enough Duke fan to collect artifacts.
I'll tell you one thing, I still miss seeing that black #3 circling the track.

I believe Dale bought a gun that John Wayne used in a movie. I believe the artifacts are on loan and will be there till september.

DEI has been joining Dale Sr. with various "legends" on die cast cars. Here's a link to the car with John Wayne. It was never raced. It is a neat car if you collect them. Love mine.
