That is ALLOT of money! While that would be an awesome thing to have in my collection, as Struther Martin said in True Grit, "I wouldn't pay that for a winged Pegasus".

They have tried to sell the hat once before with no luck. I think any of us fans would love to have a treasure like that, the price is high, even for the Duke.

Thats a nice hat with a big price tag.Correct me if i`m wrong but most of JW`s hats had a leather string that used to hang around the rear of the hats when he wore them and this one does not have that.

I do not know if that is his last hat. I have been told it is not. But way over priced.

HAHAHA...I read the post as $40 not $40K. I thought, gees, I mght have to get in on the bidding. But then again, after I looked at it closer I got my bearings and will just keep wearing my Minnesota Vikings hat. I have enought denial going on wearing the hat, I don't need a actual Duke hat to make me humble!! HEHEHEHEHE!!
