I am looking for a line in one of John's western movies (I wish I could remeber the name of the movie..)
Anyway, the line was about his creed in dealing with people, the lines end with something like "This is the way I treat people and this is how I expect them to treat me.... (way off but maybe it will spark a memory)" Can you help?

I believe your thinking of the movie called "The Shootist" which was John Wayne's last picture. It was a scene with Ron Howard.

dauh2o (any special meaning to that screen name??),
Here's the quote -
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them."
. . . and as Kevin stated, it is from The Shootist.
And . . . as long as I'm here, I'd like to welcome you to the John Wayne Message Board! You are member number 300! Sorry, there's no prize for that, only the recognition you just got from us (and maybe a few others). Welcome aboard, and we hope you won't be a stranger.

And for those Duke perfectionists on the board here is the exact quote.
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them." ;)
