You sound like me (or vice versa), Bill.

I've only golfed one time in my 72 years (a tournament played under some kind of weird handicap when I was in the military) but because of the handicap, I won the tournament.

When the organizer came up and congratulated me, a day or so after the tournament, I said "Huh"?

The day of the tournament, on the the first tee, I drove that ball right straight down the fairway for a couple of hundred yards. I said to my playing partners, "Hey, what's the big deal - this ain't so hard". :))):
