Just announced: New book about the John Ford Stock Company
April Lane of directedbyJohnFord.com has posted news of a forthcoming book by Bill Levy (http://www.directedbyjohnford.com/blog/general/from-bill-levy-new-book-on-the-john-ford-stock-company-and-fords-forgotten-gems/), author of John Ford: A Bio-Bibliography (http://www.amazon.com/John-Ford-Bio-Bibliography-Bio-Bibliographies-Performing/dp/0313275149/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1327646513&sr=1-1). The title of Mr. Levy's new book is The John Ford Stock Company, and it will be published by Bear Manor Media (http://www.bearmanormedia.com/index.php?route=common/home) some time this year. Naturally, I look forward very much to reading this, especially the chapter on Ben.

With thanks to Paula, from her Ben Johnson's screencaps site

Hi

Interesting pointer with regard to Ben Johnson if you were in with Ford you worked on many of his films if like Johnson you fell out with the director as he did making Rio Grande he didn't employ you again or until many years later.
