A very valued member of
The John Ford Stock Company (http://www.dukewayne.com/showthread.php?t=4863)
with his accordian playing being a staple part on any Ford location,
setting the atmosphere, for all to be involved.
The above photo says it all.

Danny was with Ford from the early days,
and was involved in 13 movies with him,
and as a finale, played at Ford's funeral!
Ford would often also use him as a 'bit' player.

Duke also used Danny in the same way,
and included him in his own stock company.
Duke valued Danny being part of The Alamo
and MCLintock! shoots.
He was involved in 9 films with Duke.
