I am looking for the title of a Wayne film with this scene in it.

John Wayne is standing at a bar having a drink when a cowboy next to him says something.

JW turns to him and says "Well I don't normally talk to vermin, but your new around here, so I'll make an exception just this one time.

A short dialog continues after which JW hits him and knocks him across the bar.

Any Ideas?

I have been looking for the title of this film for awhile. any help you can give will be appreciated.

I think that's from Chisum when he talks to Forrest Tucker.

First of all welcome to this board, and what I consider is the best John Wayne board in the world.

To answer your question, the movie is Chisum, but it is outside in the town streets with Forrest Tucker, and there was no fight, but a single punch from John Chisum. This line is classic, and I had to research some to get it. You threw me off with the bar scene, but that's alright, I like challenges, and I went through my DVD fast to confirm Araner's answer. ;)

I could have swarn that it was in a bar and the guy wayne was talking to was just a saddle tramp and not a name actor.

Your right it was one punch thats the way I remember it to.

Hi Jen, Thanks for the welcome, If you want my opinion I think that "a girl named Jen" is a fine handle and by the way it would make a good movie title as well.

When I saw your handle earlier today as I was looking around the board and reading the posts. I thought it reminisent of the old song by the man in black, Johnny Cash "A boy named Sue"

I think it is a creative and interesting handle I hope you don't change it.
