Hi
I am in the process of a divorce, if I don't get the answer to this question.
Please could anyone tell me the name of the film where at the end JW is in a church singing when a young man walks in on crutches which is a bit of a surprise ...coz everyone thought he was dead.
Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Trickywoo ;)

Might be you're confusing Wayne with Jimmy Stewart in "Shenandoah" because it was directed by Wayne-director Andrew McLaglen and also featured Wayne's son Patrick.

Trickywoo,
Welcome to the greatest John Wayne board in the world, and we do save marriages as well.
itdo is right. It's availiable on both VHS and DVD. Get the movie and enjoy. The boy that comes into a church is Phillip Alford. He is the same one who debut in the great movie To Kill A Monkingbird, starring Gregory Peck.

I hope you've called the calling-off off. ;)
The two gentlemen who've preceded me are right on the money; it's a scene from Shenandoah that you're thinking of. Good flick - Jimmy Stewart can always make me cry. Kind of a corny ending, though.

A-ha, Roland!
I knew Patrick Wayne looked especially familiar when I watched McLintock recently. I saw Shenandoah before becoming a Duke aficionado and I don't even recall making the connection between he and his famous pappy.
What do we think of him as an actor?

He wasn't quite as good as his Pa. But people tell he (and the other Wayne kids, for that matter) is very gentle, very sympatico. You can't say that for every child who had a star father.

Agreed Roland!
But you can also say too that children like that don't have a father like John Wayne.

Has anybody seen Patrick Wayne performing in "Her Alibi" with Tom Selleck and "Rustler's Rhapsody", the B-movie-parody with Tom Berenger? I think he showed quite a bit of comedy talent. But haven't seen anything from him since.
