Something we were wondering about is how most of you found the message board. There is quite a good sized group of regulars here, and we know where many of you live and other things about you (you love the Duke!), but wondered how you got here in the first place?

As for us, we had been on another John Wayne board for awhile, and heard about this one, so checked it out last January, lurking for a short while, then getting involved more and more . . . .

So . . . do you remember how you found out about this Message Board?

We'd love to hear your stories.

I thought I'd just this topic for the benefit of our many new members. It seems we've had quite an influx recently, and it would be fun to find out how folks have found out about this site.

I searched google like allot of others in here. This site came up and I joined. It didn't take long for me to decide either. I don't post allot, but I am working on it. I check in here every single day. Sometimes twice a day. It's a great place to hang out. I love it here.

That's why we're here - to have fun! John Wayne may be the common thread that has brought us all here to start, but it's great to discuss so many other things with like-minded folks (and to hash out the occasional disagreement). We find this to be a wonderful community, and we have made quite a few friends.

Found the board on the net and am very happy to be here with true Duke fans like myself. Today is my first day posting and I am very excited to share my views. By reading your posts I can tell that there are alot of very knowledgeable John Wayne fans involved here. I only hope that I can learn from you all. Thanks for allowing me to join you.

The first movie I saw starring John Wayne was the Alamo and have been hooked ever since. Although there have been many great actors in film history, there will never be another John Wayne.
