What is Topic Of The Week?
Topic of the Week is a contest that select posts on which we would like the community to commit to as a group and then comment/discuss on them during the course of the selected Week. Any listed topic (thread) is eligible for the Topic of the Week selection.

What determines a Topic Of The Week?
Topic Of The Week is based on a simple nomination system. I concur with the topic about a possible 9 children. Since most people on the board are familiar with practically every single aspect of Duke's life, the possiblity that there might actually be something about him that we didn't know has to rank very high on the list of things to discuss. As we know, Bill knew John Wayne far more intimately than anyone else here and yet even he admits he didn't know about this.

Post John Wayne Picture Game #132

I found this post on "John Wayne Picture Game #132" interesting and have nominated it accordingly for "Topic Of The Week 34, August, 2008"

Honestly, it wasn't really specifically this thread, but the whole John Wayne Picture Game that I think is worthy of nomination! Mark has done an outstanding job of keeping this game (originally instituted by Baron von Rasillon) going week after week, with some really great pictures!

I think nominating this thread would be a good way to honor Mark's hard work on this weekly "event."

    Post The Searchers (1956)

I found this post on "The Searchers (1956)" interesting and have nominated it accordingly for "Topic Of The Week 35, August, 2008"

Here is another case where it's not specifically this post, but that this post represents so many that Keith has worked tirelessly on, to present a full complement of information on the majority of John Wayne's movies.

So I nominate this thread, to honor ALL Keith's hard work in the assorted movie forums.
