Kevin (the Administrator) and the Moderators of this message board think you should be aware of the following -
We don't know most of the people who "inhabit" the message board. Over time, some of us have become better acquainted, but for the most part, none of us really knows anybody else. This means you must exercise caution when entering into any kind of business deal. The Administrator and Moderators are not in any way responsible for determining the legitimacy or authenticity of any item offered in The Trading Post. This is not eBay, and this web site offers no protections to either buyer or seller (or 'tradees') whatsoever. You enter into a buyer/seller/trading relationship at your own risk.
We do have some safeguards in place. When any one posts to The Trading Post forum, their post is subject to approval before becoming available to the membership at large. What that means is - your post will NOT appear immediately. Please do NOT post it more than one time. It might take as much as 24 hours for your post to be approved, but it is usually much less than that. We have moderators in several time zones, around the world, so you shouldn't have to wait very long - please be patient. This goes for any post to this forum, even if you are only asking a question or making a response to someone. It's nothing personal, it just gives the moderation team a chance to check things out, and there is no way for the system to differentiate between brand new members and long standing ones, or offers to sell something and questions. ALL posts are subject to administrator/moderator approval. If you don't see your post after 24 hours, please email one or more of the moderators to see if there is a problem, or if we are asleep at the stick.
Please understand that the Administrator and Moderators have tools at their disposal which do help us to weed out some potential scams, and we do our best to protect you, but the bottom line is - we can't possibly be responsible for potential business dealings between parties from anywhere around the world, and we don't claim to be. Please exercise extreme caution.
On behalf of the Administrator/Moderator Team, I wish you the best in all your dealings here.
