Well, I didn't win the contest, but I guess that's how it goes. I'll still be buying the DVD's though! Nothin' can stop me there. I noticed that a "Rick" did win, however. That wouldn't be our Rick would it? If so, CONGRATULATIONS Partner! Just thought I'd stop real quick and say howdy, then it's back out to shovelin' snow and stacking broken tree branches. I just got home from being snowed in at work for 30+ hours. We had better than two feet of snow and man what a mess! So I'll se y'all later.

Bob, that is indeed "our" Rick, better know as REASR! We echo that Congratulations :D !

And like you, we didn't win either, even though we got all eight questions correct. Oh, well, we do own the two movies, as they arrived at our local video store last week.

The snow kind of caught a little off guard. We were expecting about 4 or 5 inches, but it decided to dump 2 feet on us. Oh well, that's life on the plains. At least it's warming up pretty good and melting fast, and the moisture is very welcome. The trees suffered some with a whole lot of broken branches, but the ground is very green.

I was stationed in Denver from 1967-1970 on recruiting duty. I remember one year, we got a heavy snowfall in October that snapped most of the limbs on a tree in our yard because the limb still had a lot of leaves, which held the snow and made the limbs heavier and heavier.

I fell in love with Colorado while stationed there. Hailing from the flatlands of Texas and Oklahoma, I was extremely impressed by the Rockies. Wanted to retire in the Springs (near Ft. Carson) but the wife didn't like all that snow. I can stand cold weather a lot better than hot though. My personal feeling is that you can always put on more clothes when it's cold but when it's hot, you can only take so many off before being arrested for indecency.

You are so right Stumpy, that's why I live in Minnesota. If I could I would move even further north. But then I would be divorced!! :

    Hi Todd,
You certainly wouldn't like it around here.
The one and only time we had snow last year, would you believe,
    was Christmas Day!
A white Christmas, it lasted all of three hours,
everyone was so excited, they were taking photographs of it!
    We haven't had any since!!

    Best Wishes,

Keith, the thing I like the most about living where I do, besides the snow is, the change of seasons.
