We must think alike, Arthur. I watched the same film last night!
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them" It may be time worn, but it's the best life-creed I know.

    Hi Bob

One of my favourite westerns as a kid, although the ending is a bit corny it still gives a thrill.

The last two Westerns I watched were: The Great Locomotive Chase (accidently posted in the non westerns section) and just last night-Northwest Passage.

Darn it, I forgot the name of the title but it was a Randolph Scott Western that had Lee Marvin in it, as well as Claude Jarman Jr, and some other notables too. Scott and company were Confederates who killed several yankee soldiers in order to take their gold shipment. Really was a good movie--just cant think of its title off hand.

Sounds like "Seven Men from Now." I Think Duke was chosen for the part but was tied up with "The Searchers" and recomended Scott for the part.

I was wrong, it was "Hangman's Knot." Donna Reed was in it also, sorry too many movies to collect.

Hi Big Jim, it was Hangmans Knot!! I think Duke would have been magnificent in it but glad Scott got the nod.
