Blazing saddles, mildly amusing. I watched it with Finnish subtitles; when the black sheriff says "You would give me the chance if I was Randolph Scott", it's translated into Finnish: "You would give me the chance if I was John Wayne"!

"Blood Trail"
A truly amazing turd of a movie. Badly acted, Badly written, Badly...everything.
They'd never forget the day,the stranger rode into town
Is anyone watching Fort Apache with me right now?
Last night they had John Wayne night on HDNet movies on TV. "The Shootist" started it off and then "EL Dorado" and ended it with "McLintock". Man, we have said it before but Duke looks great in High Def.
Rio Lobo was the last one I watched, it was the weakest of the "Rio/El/Rio" trilogy. With the exception of Elam no one matched duke scene for scene.
In someways I wish I could afford to upgrade my equipment, but really I am thoroughly happy with my brand new 5 disc DVD player... 5 times more Duke.
Sons of Katie Elder was the last western I watched, and you can read my inane comments in the respective topic.
Guns of the Magnificent Seven. A magnificent movie. heh heh
That stunk...![]()
It was meant to be sarcastic.
Today on TCM? though it was a strain to watch, I watched: Custer of the West w/ Robert Shaw, Robert Ryan, Ty Hardin and Jeffrey Hunter.
Great actors all, but lousy anti-American, Western.
